When disappointment speaks, you need to speak back.

Cee Lo Green has our vote for best song of the last decade. He created the perfect response to life when things get too disappointing. Never let 'em get you down.

I'm mad as hell!

Peter Finch gave an amazing, end-of-life performance as Howard Beale in the 1976 movie "Network." Finch's delivery of the "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore," speech continues to electrify viewers and writers today, and served as a primary inspiration for the YouDisappoint.Us concept.

First, film footage from "Network," followed by a student video based on the clip. For an interesting read on screenwriter Paddy Chayefsky's script development and notes, check out this New York Times article.

Isn't that what friends are for?

Probably deep down in our psyche, this song is the inspiration for YouDisappoint.Us

Released a mere 24 years ago, "Disappointed" still packs a punch today. When the album 9 came out, we were living in Minneapolis and had the opportunity to see PIL along with New Order and the Sugarcubes. We loved the song back then, even before we really knew the depth of disappointment that awaited us.

You, you're just a really bad person
Who won't, you won't, listen to anyone
No not you, with those half moon eyelids
Just babbling on, your useless defenses, so sad

Disappointed a few people
When friendship reared its ugly head
Disappointed a few people
Well, isn't that what friends are for?

(What friends are for?)
What friends are for?
(What friends are for?)
What are friends for?

This erratic haphazard, fluttering
This toing and frowing, like a confused moth
The collusion, illusion, it's all ad infinitum
You're a really sad person, you're really so sad

Disappointed a few people
When friendship reared its ugly head
Disappointed a few people
Well, isn't that what friends are for?

Who You Talkin' About?

We've had a lot of questions from people wondering what they've done wrong. Don't worry, there are plenty of things that don't disappoint us. However, www.QuiteaFewOfYouDisappoint.Us just isn't as attention grabbing as YouDisappoint.Us

We'll give you an example. The first video is a part of something that pleases us immensely. Then, for those of you with longer attention spans, the whole work is included below that.
